Macau New Neighbourhood adopts highly efficient, eco-friendly prefabrication method for construction
The construction of the Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) project in Hengqin is well underway, with three components of the residential units, comprising façade panels, staircases and autoclaved lightweight concrete (ALC) panels, being built using the more environmentally-friendly prefabrication method, providing high degree of quality and productivity.
Macau New Neighbourhood superstructure works begin
The basement construction of the MNN project in Hengqin has been completed in the middle of this year and superstructure works of the buildings have begun. The residential and school buildings’ structures are expected to reach topping-out before the end of the year.

MUR is pushing forward the temporary and home-swap housing project on Lot P in Areia Preta. The construction of the new pile foundation is progressing well, pile foundation works have been completed in some areas, where excavation and lateral support (ELS) works have started.

MUR is promoting the Iao Hon Estate old neighbourhood renewal project. To address the estate’s property owners’ need for assistance, the company is helping condominium owners from the estate’s seven blocks of flats hold general assembly meetings and set up management committees.

A traffic incident happened yesterday (18 July) on Xiangshun Road near Lot 1 of the Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) project construction site in Hengqin.
Lot P temporary and home swap housing project strictly complies with the SAR government’s epidemic prevention order and all works at the site will continue to be suspended from 12:00 midnight of 18 July to 12:00 midnight of 23 July.

MUR enforces stringent supervision on contractors, strives to eliminate potential safety hazards
Regarding the tilting incident of rebars that happened on site Lot B for the temporary housing project located on Lot P in Areia Preta on 25 June, the contractor has immediately reported to relevant entities. During the suspension of works in the relevant area, Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) and third-party supervisors immediately conducted a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
Regarding tilting incident of rebars on Lot P temporary housing project
On the afternoon of 25 June 2022, while workers were assembling and fixing reinforcement for the pile cap for Lot B temporary housing project located on Lot P in Areia Preta, temporary support for the rebars was found tilting slightly, causing the upper layer of rebars to tilt.
Temporary housing show flats to close starting today
To coordinate with the Macau SAR Government’s prevention and control work of COVID-19 epidemic, the exhibition about Areia Preta’s Lot P temporary housing project located on the 3rd floor of Mong Ha Social Housing - Edifício Mong Tak in Rua de Francisco Xavier Pereira, will be temporarily closed starting today (19 June) until further notice. Service users’ understanding is appreciated.
