A collaboration between Guangdong and Macau, Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) in Hengqin is the first livelihood project created for Macau residents that integrates a quality living space, education, health and social services.

The Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) project in Hengqin is an integrated community comprising residential, educational, health and social services. Its 27 residential towers and school buildings are expected to reach topping-out at the end of the year, with residential units to be put up for sale next year. The layout plan is designed to create a living environment similar to Macau to facilitate Macau residents’ development in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The construction of the Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) project in Hengqin is well underway, with three components of the residential units, comprising façade panels, staircases and autoclaved lightweight concrete (ALC) panels, being built using the more environmentally-friendly prefabrication method, providing high degree of quality and productivity.

The basement construction of the Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) project in Hengqin has been completed in the middle of this year and superstructure works of the buildings have begun, as pre-fabricated components are being installed.

A traffic incident happened yesterday (18 July) on Xiangshun Road near Lot 1 of the Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) project construction site in Hengqin. A cement sand mortar worker was hit by a cement mixer truck, and was pronounced dead after being brought to the hospital for emergency services.

Two training bases, organised by China Construction Engineering (Macau) Company Limited and co-organised by Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) project in Hengqin were officially established yesterday (19 August).

The project, which will have about 4,000 fitted-out residential units and other auxiliary facilities, such as retail, education, parking spaces, a health care centre, an elderly care centre and a community service centre, is expected to be completed in 2023.

Macau Urban Renewal Limited (MUR) is launching the “Macau New Neighbourhood” (MNN) project in Hengqin in accordance with the work schedule, having completed the design layout plan of the project and pre-drilling works for soil investigation.

A signing ceremony for the land use right transfer for the Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) project in Hengqin was held today (9 April). In a video conference, representatives from Hengqin and Macau signed a land use right transfer agreement for the development of an integrated community in Hengqin that includes residences, education, elderly care and health care, providing one more home buying option for Macau citizens.
